I would say this is safety issue. So the operator doesn’t go too fast in reverse and lose control. Many ATVs use a reverse limiter.

Normal operation. 3rd range is actually a very high range to be doing any sort of actual work with. I get it you were trying to get there faster but you would be better to run 2 range and higher rpm when doing work. I usually only use 3rd range when I’m roading it.

Ok. That’s what I was thinking. Should be fairly straight forward. Bolt subframe with braces. When you get it ready to go on the tractor just remember to not have your drawbar pin in or it won’t slide in.

Is the backhoe on a pallet? Do you have to lift the hoe to get to the subframe? Once you get the subframe bolted on you can hook up the hydraulic lines to lift and level the hoe for attaching.

Just unbolt the front bracket and install the new one. You won’t have any issues. Just to be sure I would measure the new bracket against the old just to make sure you have the correct one. What tractor model do you have?

The dealer should have also given you the original front cross member bracket that is changed out to the cross member to accept the front of the backhoe subframe. It is painted blue. I would hang on to both of those parts.

A little advise when hooking up the backhoe. Before backing up to engage the subframe remove the pin holding the drawbar because the pin hanging down will not let the subframe enter the slot. Remember to put it back or just remove pin and drawbar all together when using the hoe.

The black part is changed out with the blue part when you have a backhoe. The blue part allows the subframe to attach. The dealer wanted it to stay with the tractor in the event you would ever get rid of the hoe you could put it back on.

I installed 4 new LED work lights. What a huge difference. I stayed with the oval design to look like factory. They are 1350 lumens each. I got them from Surplus Center for around $225 for all 4 shipped. The brand is Buyers which makes some very nice products.
