    Tire pressure question

Yes. The wear looks to be overinflated. Drop the pressure for the type of work you’re doing with the loads normally on the back. Wear should be even across the lugs. A chalk/paint test is a good way to get fast results. Paint or chalk the surface of the lug and see if it wears off evenly. Be...

    Brushmowing Trails. Looking for recommendations.

IMHO, you are on the right track as far as the tow behind. With the steep hills you mention, my concern would be with stability of the tow behind while going down hill. Turn limit stops and angle pivot stops would probably need to be fabricated to prevent it from coming around into the side...

Radiator cleaning with spray foam products?

Condenser cleaners work well on condensers. Evaporator cleaners aren't for condensers and don't work well for heavy soil, even though they are a foaming cleaner. To answer your question. Yes they do work and are safe. The key is to rinse with water VERY well. Some radiators are horizontal/flat...

Where do you buy tires? What brands to avoid.

Maybe, but this post isn’t about your M9. It’s about another members L4400, that just happens to use the same tire size that one of mine uses.

Where do you buy tires? What brands to avoid.

When replacing the 8-16 on front, I got Carlisle from Amazon and did it myself. Is MUCH easier when you leave the wheel on the tractor. Just use jack stands to keep the axle from pivoting. I searched FB Marketplace for the rears and found 2 new Firestones (14.9-24) from a tire dealer not too far...

New here, question on LS MT242H and a Brush Hog

I have 2 40hp tractors, both with 6' brush mowers. As others have said, you will have to slow down in the taller/thicker stuff. Personally, I set the RPM of the tractor according to the 540 RPM icon/indicator plus about 50-75 rpm with the pto engaged, then match my travel speed to maintain the...

    Need Rotary Cutter advice

You asked, so my opinion is BushHog and Rhino. Woods apparently makes a great machine also, but I don't have any experience with them. My personal experience is: BushHog is well made and parts are readily available. Rhino is very well made, but parts are typically harder to come by locally(in...

    Deere 5105 overheating

Sounds like the pump to me, but first clean the radiator REAL good. you should be able to get clear water through the radiator coil. Don't use the stream on the spray nozzle, so you don't bend the fins. Personally, I use SimpleGreean and a wand with rating head with a flat spray.

How many acres can I mow per hour?

Like others here, I do a good amount of mowing, and these charts are indeed pretty accurate. But you do have to use just a little bit of common sense, and some just don't have that or the natural skill. I sometimes have someone else running one while I'm on another. One guy is a natural, the...

    Land Pride Vs Ironcraft/Titan

I have a Titan/Ironcraft. While the Ironcraft/Titan warranty is great, my issue is this, if you need parts you must go through a dealer to get them. I don't do excavation. I will do gravel driveways and reconditioning though, so I typically only go down about 2 to 4 inches, if that. Question on using JB weld

I've done that before. Works very well on aluminum but the plastic ones required good sanding to roughen up the area before it would hold. Is Anyone Making a High Quality 7k Trailer?

Oil & Fuel Overheating or bad gauge?

Could be either. If the gauge needle has full range of motion, i.e. with key off it goes all the way one direction, then back to the green/red line when key is on, I would start with the sending unit first. Probably easier/cheaper too.

It depends. I assume that since you asked the question, your experience with the tractor is limited, but will increase with time.
