    Smoothing a bumpy yard?

I have found my roller which is a home built 30" diameter by 7' water filled (about 300# per ft) does a nice job of smashing things flat in the wet spring but that by the middle of August the soil has revived itself into its rougher preferred state. I think all I am doing is flattening it...

    Cleaning lawn of branches

Plus a commercial guy usually hires younger people who can stand all day and keep moving. I, personally, am past that point and prefer my sit on zero turns because I enjoy mowing and am not worried about getting it done the absolute fastest.

    Cleaning lawn of branches

I would think for a commercial guy speed is everything and it is very quick to get off a Standon to move or pickup something versus a sitdown rider. I go through some effort to not have to get off my mower whereas it is a quick step-off and then back on a Standon type.

Hadn't heard of a Bradley so i had to look them up - couldn't stop laughing. They are a walk behind or stand on and are talking about "Greatly reduce operator fatigue..." I'm thinking ues you could if you would put a seat on them. Sorry - not being critical of a mower just an interesting...

hyd seals for 7 lever hyd body assembly

In the US McMasterCarr sells these "Xpower" o-rings as you can see in the upper left portion of the screen shot below. These are normally used for seals where shafts are sliding such as hydraulic cylinders. I am not sure how your valve setup works but I would use these o-rings made from buna...

hyd seals for 7 lever hyd body assembly

Hard to tell for sure but they look like o-rings. Just measure ID and Cross-section and look them up and order them. Much lower cost than a seal kit.

Getting crushed rock back on driveway

In SD with the winds? Piling snow on the side like that would cause it to drift shut. Sorry grew up in SD and we always had to be concerned about the drifting when we plowed or piled it up. The state is famous for getting 2" of snow that you see 10X until it is allpiled up where you do not...

Getting crushed rock back on driveway

This is basically the method I use although sometimes the blade bounces a little when plowing snow and catches a few rocks and throws them off the driveway. In Kearney your weather is probably similar to what we get in NE Indiana where we cannot plan on just plowing high and packing down a...

About 15 years ago a gas station near me that I used to go to on a regular basis put in new pumps with "pay at the pump" . a few months later they turned that feature off. Once when I went in to pay which ticked me off because after dark it was prepay, I asked why they didn't have it and they...

PICS OF BARNS; Any barns; All barns; My barn; Your barn; Not your barn

I always find it sad that most of these barns indicate a farm that once had animals that often no longer does. They show a lot of little farmers that were crowded out of business. It is great to see some of these photos include barns with livestock but they are tough on barns and the ones...

People seem to think the mid-mount Zero Turn is the only style of Zero-Turn there is which I agree will flip over backwards going uphill. They are kind of like an old M or H tricycle style they tend to flip themselves with the torque in the drivewheels going uphill. I stated my "front deck"...

    Cleaning lawn of branches

Why is that? My front deck zero turn will not flip or tip sideways. My biggest problem is staying in the seat. The thing is like a billy goat going up or down any hill but I do have the AT101 chevron tires not a turf tire. I would not hesitate to take it on any slope I would take a tractor...

This may be a bit of overkill but who cares. Rowse makes rakes for haying that are essentially a modern version of the dump rake. One of their markets is picking up pecan tree prunings and bunching them to wither burn, mulch, or haul away. Since I have a few acres that surround a pond with...

    Stacking loose hay???

Where I grew up in North Central SD we normally got 13-14" of annual precipitation. Having dry ground to set you hay on was as important as not having the rain coming down from the sky in terms of spoilage. That is why we usually put our stacks near the top of hills and certainly not in places...

    Stacking loose hay???

One of the problems with stacked hay is that if your ground is wet it will pull moisture from the ground and rot the hay. Growing up in SD we did not have that problem as i am sure Vsteel doesn't. It would depend where you are at in Tennessee as to if it works or not. Where I am at in Indiana...
