What is the best way to level truck when towing?

I use a wd on my 9500# camper with a 2019 GMC 2500. I adjust the spring bars so that the 2" rake is removed leaving the truck level. A friend wound his bars up so tight that the rake was still there. He was all over the road from doing that. Effectively removed too much tongue weight.

    Used pickup questions

Well, a Ford 6.0 PS is a good motor only if it's been bullet proofed early in it's life. I have a couple of buddys with them and they've been trouble free for as long as they've owned them (10+ years). On the OEM set up, not so much--Ford blew it on that one.

2021 Chevy Silverado 2500HD gas vs. diesel?

LOL. I didn't say 4k all day long. 4k once in a while won't hurt them, I've proven that for years. Cheap? Maybe somewhat--The guys I know buy the LS's for reliability and power, which they have both--in spades. Just an assumption, you don't like GM very much. I'm not a Ford or Ram guy but I...

Yeah, I would too. My L5P runs pretty good larded down with all that crap bet it would be unrecognizable without all that. I've heard it's 8-10k to delete these--I'd never do it but there are some out there I guess.

2021 Chevy Silverado 2500HD gas vs. diesel?

I was pulling a 10k TT for years with GM 1500's and they did OK..Yeah they scream bloody murder going up steep hills but that's what they are designed to do--The reason a ton of hot-rodders are running LS motors nowadays..You can hammer them and they keep going. I decided to upgrade to a 2500...

    Adding D Rings to Trailer

I agree with the powder coat issue. My Rice began peeling about 3 years after I got it. Fixing that is a nightmare. Wish it was just painted. My D Rings are welded to the sides of my trailer. Trailer Running Lights

Guys, Yesterday coming home from camp my trailer running lights stopped working (parking lights) -- my brake and turn signals work fine. Rice trailer with LED. What do you think--Ground possibly? Picked up a screw and destroyed a tire too--Not a great day to say the least.

    RTV1100 Delivered Yesterday

Well..It showed up..So far I like it. Has plenty of power for what I need. Ran it down the hill that caused me so much grief on the 500. Buried the speedo going down, and went close to 20 on the way back up in high range. Can't complain about that. Heat and A/C are outstanding. Tested the heat...

    RTV1100 Opinions

Anybody have an RTV1100 that could offer some opinions...Likes/Dislikes. I'm considering trading the 500 for one of these..Just don't want to make a really expensive mistake. The wife is all for it, so gotta strike while the iron is hot:D

    Generalized Rant

Given the state of the economy, you would think that all businesses would be bending over backwards to keep cusomers happy so that they come back. I bought my wife a Hummer H3, slightly used but not cheap, for her 40th birthday. A week later the TPM service light came on..No big deal. Took it...

    Panel Lift?

Been hunting around for a drywall lift to finish the ceiling in the shop. Is there some issue with 12', which is what my ceiling is? Everything I can find is 11'...That ain't gonna work. Don't want to build a platform under the lift to get to the height that I need. Can't rent either, this...

    Steel decking sweating

I have a 48ft storage area under my front porch that is covered with 7" of concrete with steel decking underneath. It's turning into a rain forest in there from water dripping off of the steel. Only really happens when the temperature drops. Has anyone tried putting styrofoam on the steel to...

    RTV500 Poll

Ok, those of us who have RTV500's I have a few questions. This is to show Kubota that Matt's advise did not cut into service visits. That's the only reason that I can figure that he's been silenced, since no one has heard from him in weeks. 1)-Who complained, repeatedly, to their dealers about...

    Anybody heard from Matt Lately?

I'm getting concerned that Matt has dissapeard from the board. I hope that Kubota didn't silence him for helping us out where our dealers would not.

    BX23 Top Link

Anyone had the threaded rod bend going into the top link on the 3PH? The threads are barely exposed on either end, but it's bent and jammed in the assembly. Happend using a landsape rake, nothing excessive. Is this a common occurrance on this style of link?...The one on my 8N never had an issue...

    RTV500 Owner --- Thanks Guy's

Matt, Tom & Stonehaller, Thanks for all of the suggestions on how to get the max intended performance out of this machine. I put the unloaded max RMPS at 4010, it was 3650. I had to buy a microprocesser contolled timing light that relieved me of a Ben Franklin to do this, but it was worth it...

    RTV500 HST Shifting

RTV owners...Stonehaller and I have had some discussions about this, and his help has been outstanding. My question is this: When you are going uphill with the gas pedal mashed, does your RTV downshift (like a regular auto tranny), or do you have to let up on the gas to cause the downshift? In...

    BX23 Toothbar

Anyone know where I can get a FEL toothbar for a BX23. The standard ones are 48" ID on the BX bucket is 46 3/8 ID. I know I could cut and weld, but I'd like one that fits correctly.

A Little Help With an RTV500

Any of you guys that have an RTV500 have a clicking noise when you slow down from speed after it's well warmed up?...I have the normal whine, but it clicks pretty loud about 30-50 ft before coming to a stop. It's so loud that my wife heard it from 100 ft away. Before I call and complain, just...

    BX23 Rear Work Light

This may have been asked before, but is there existing wiring near the ROPS for a rear work light?...If so where is it...I really don't want to run a bunch of wire if I don't need to..And does it tie into the headlights, or do I need another switch...Digging by 4way is no fun:D

Any other RTV500 owners out there?

Seems that me and 737pilot are the only ones posting about this machine...I think we both would like to hear other opinions, likes and dislikes, modifications etc...Anyone?
