I use a wd on my 9500# camper with a 2019 GMC 2500. I adjust the spring bars so that the 2" rake is removed leaving the truck level. A friend wound his bars up so tight that the rake was still there. He was all over the road from doing that. Effectively removed too much tongue weight.

Sorry I missed your post. Bought a 2022 RZR Trail. Only real purpose for it is recreation. I have an RTV1100 for hauling. So far I like it except for the jerky clutch. Guess there are fixes for that but it's good so far.

I had that happen with a gasser once. Me & the shop met halfway on the trans r&r and I pad for the flywheel. Go in easy at first, they may work with you.

You're right. I buffed cars for years and you really do have to go out of your way to burn through the paint---provided it hasn't been buffed a million times or heavily wet sanded.

Right, they also mentioned extra filters. Thankfully they put the fuel filter under the bed on my 19 Dmax so it isn't terrible.

Guys I know with CP4's in Dmax's swear by installing a lift pump to take some of the heat of the CP4. I have no personal experience with this but it seems to be a very popular add-on and they say it works well. Just throwing out what I've heard.

Whatever you do, don't get a powder coated trailer. Mine looked like a million bucks when new but one rock chip creates a mess that's very hard to fix.

Personally, I'd go with the 14' tandem. I have a 16' that works well for me although I wish it was an 18'. My neighbor has a 14' tandem and it works well for what he needs it for--Building materials, mulch, quads, side by side etc.

My OEM plow is way lower than I like too and it's not really a quick connect. The lower bracket has to come off to create enough ground clearance to load on a trailer without getting creative. Plow works well when installed but the mounting system is a total fail by Kubota. My uneducated...

Yep, I had to grease the steering wheel bushing once a year in a RTV500. Not a big deal once you figure out the problem. I've only had to do it once in my RTV1100.

I use my RTV1100 primarily plowing snow although it gets used around the yard when needed. Expensive but very handy equipment.

Problem with that length is load balancing. I put my bx23 on my neighbors 14' tandem. It barely fit and it was tail heavy. Wasn't a fun haul. I have a 16' tandem now. Wish it was bigger but the tractor and me are 100x safer now.

Well, a Ford 6.0 PS is a good motor only if it's been bullet proofed early in it's life. I have a couple of buddys with them and they've been trouble free for as long as they've owned them (10+ years). On the OEM set up, not so much--Ford blew it on that one.

A GM 6.0 gasser is usually pretty bulletproof if maintained. Rust is their biggest enemy. Diesels are hit/miss and painfully expensive to fix unless you find a pre def version...Those are spendy now.

It's nuts but they'll probably get that. I looked up my 2019 GMC 2500 DMAX Denali on NADA last night and the current average trade-in is the original MSRP. I paid 10k less than that when I bought it new. I wouldn't have paid sticker when I bought it. I'll be keeping mine for a good while.

Brakes, suspension, cooling system (if not flushed out), possibly wiring (mice)...anything with rubber as a component is probably dryrotted. Probably more but that comes to mind. Really depends on what the previous owner did with it over all that time. Cheap enough, I'd try it personally.

Not sure about the really new GM's but I was told that on my 2016 the OEM Controller could not be added. I had to put a Curt in the truck and I never really liked it after using the integrated controller for years. The Integrated seemed to do a much better job wien towing, especially a TT

I started doing just that with my trucks. Trade them around 75k when they still have good value. I pay my stuff off fairly quick. A cost of living to me as I live below my means ... generally lol.

I wonder how ev equipment is going to get recharged in the field where there often is no electricity available. Diesel generators? Seems a bit counterintuitive to me.

I could probably live with that. Mine has no adjustments at all. The plow arms hit the mounting frame and that's it. I could block the headlights with my previous RTV500 if I needed to.

I like those mirrors. Gotta look them up for mine. Curious, how high does your plow lift? My 2009 can only go up around 6" or less and it hits on everything if I'm just driving around. I like the plow but that's a stupid design flaw. Never used the shoes on mine, I pulled them all the way up...

We got around 10" or so the RTV did pretty good.

I try to buy the best 2" straps I can find for heavier loads. I use self contained 1" for my quad tied on 4 corners. +1 on tight packing the load then strap the load horizontally and over the top on loose stuff. Pallet loads, I criss cross 2" straps and have never had a problem.

Pay the man. The pros have articulating trailers and mules to safely move large buildings and can place them on a bulls eye. I've had them move buildings for me many times and worth every penny.

Yep..CP4's were a weak spot especially if a lift pump wasn't installed. Most manufacturers have resolved that issue although some failures are possible as with anything I guess.

My 2019 2500 Denali Diesel KBB/NADA's for around $62k. Exactly what I paid for it in mid 2019. Stickered for around $73k and bought it for $62. Those days are over for quite a while I think. My buddies tell me they'd sell it--My response is "and replace it with what?"

In some brands that's true but there's no substitute towing my camper and utility trailers with a 2500 over a 1500. Towed with 1500's for 10 years and I've never been happier now that I have the 2500. Just didn't really need a 3500. Maybe someday.

True to a point...Maintenance is a huge factor with either type of truck. I used to run gassers to around 200k and they still looked and drove perfectly..I've seen diesels nearly destroyed before 100k. I bought my diesel for the primary purpose of towing around 10k numerous times in the summer...

Congrats...Post some pics when the time comes. While I went with the diesel on my 19 GMC, unless you are towing really heavy a fair amount of the time, the diesel isn't really worth it especially the nearly 10k upcharge.

Well. At 37k with 10% tongue weight it probably would have put the 1500 on the back bumper or destroyed the whole rear of the truck first. I'm sure someone tried this though, that's why there are warning labels on shampoo lol.

Can't answer specifically but half the car will generally be on the ramp at any given time. Tractors etc are probably placing their full weight on the ramp. A theory anyway.

I have Loadstars on my camper and car trailer. So far so good. My tire guy says they are very good tires and he does semi's on down. OEM's were junk.

Dmax's are all Allison transmissions. As far as 2wd, I wouldn't do that unless you are in a dry, flat area. Plus the resale can be tough on them.

I have had a ZD724 since around 2015. It's been trouble free and cut my mowing time by well over half compared to my BX23. It's thirsty but scary fast. No regrets on the purchase. My lawn isn't a golf course but it's fairly comfortable unless you slam a good sized hole.

As a 13 year owner of an RTV1100 I'll say I really like mine. Great for property stuff and especially plowing snow. Main complaints, roof is unnecessarily high and as others mentioned, the uphill speed limitations. A turbo might help with that but I'm not overly interested in that path.

I agree. A good friend has one that's like a 16 or 17 Kymco and has had no problems with it at all and he's not easy on it either.

Nice truck...The wife's Escalade has 22" and I think my total on the tires was around $1400. Probably could have done slightly better but my tire guy said those were the best and it turned out he was right.

I 100% agree on the Polaris ATV's. I've had one for 6 years now and never had a problem with it. Maintenance and one battery is all it's ever needed. Both of my neighbors have mid 2k Polaris 500's with the little bed on them and the same reliability on those too.

I agree with the powder coat issue. My Rice began peeling about 3 years after I got it. Fixing that is a nightmare. Wish it was just painted. My D Rings are welded to the sides of my trailer. So far those have done very well. I also used some off the shelf roll-on bed liner on the interior side...

I have a Rice 16' tandem utility 7k. Pretty good trailer, had a support weld break which is somewhat concerning. Easy fix though The powder coating on mine has not held up well. I'll go painted next time. All and all it's a pretty good trailer though.
