    I service all my small engines annually. Will do it sometime during the winter so it is ready to go whenever Spring decides to arrive. All mine seem to be less than the recommended hours. For me, it helps that I like working/servicing small engines.

    Thing's happen. At least you noticed your error and you are ready to fix it. I'll echo what everyone else is saying - easy fix: just drain and refill with proper fluid. If under warranty, get them to find leak and fix. If not under warranty, clean up the area and seek out the source of leak.

    How long did you leave the Seafoam in for? When I have a surging engine I added seafoam and let the fun for a bit to get it through the entire fuel system. Then let it sit overnight or longer if possible. Seafoam will dissolve the gum an varnish and clean up the carb & fuel system nicely.

    Up until last summer I always used 10% ethanol 87 in all my small engines (still do in my autos).
