    How does the Ventrac ride?

Answered my own question. With the dual wheels they ride very well. I do not regret selling my ZT at all.

Can the power rake be pitched to cut a crown?

I've looked all over and there is no information about whether the Ventrac power rake can be pitched to cut a crown in a driveway, etc. Can anyone confirm if this is possible?

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

They're all pretty good about a demo around here. If you're going to drop 40-50K on a machine, they'd better be good! :P

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

The slope isn't wet. We have a slope AND wet areas, but the 2 are not combined. I did search using terms like bumpy, ride, ride quality, etc. The dealer is going to drop off a unit for me to try on my yard so I'll learn first hand. Thank you.

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

Yep. The main reason I'm buying this is we mow 2 acres that has a side hill and is usually quite wet until late June. My commercial ZT get buried and ruts up the yard...the 40 HP Kioti makes a mess so hoping I can consolidate to a Ventrac and do most of what I need with one machine and not...

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

Thank you. We spec'd it with the hydro lift, 72" finish deck, dual wheels, power bucket and power rake. Might add the 3 point as I do have some implements from another tractor that might be useful.

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

I haven't bought one yet. Negotiating with a dealer here. We are going with the 72" finish deck. Just wondering if they ride bumpy in general. Thank you

    How does the Ventrac ride?

Silly question, but one of the dealers here mentioned the dual wheels make them ride a lot less rough. I may be overthinking it, but that made me wonder if they're a bumpy ride with single wheels? Can't be worse than my Exmark, yes?

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

Thanks. Wasn't sure. Another question is, how do these ride with single wheels? The dealer mentioned they're bumpy. Can't be worse than my Exmark.

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

Nope. Pitching the deck lower at the front than the rear is how they cut best. Watch a video on setting up a zero turn deck. The rollers are only used to prevent scalping.

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

With my other commercial mowers they cut best with 1/4" pitch back to front. Front lower than rear.

    Ventrac finish deck pitch?

Can the Ventrac finish decks be pitched? I read the setup manuals and there is no mention of it. Not required?

Need some help with a fitting indentification

So, before I visit our local hydraulic shop tomorrow, I took some pics and measurements of the fittings, etc. in case anyone cares. You can see on the gray valve body there is a deep recess and chamfer for the o-ring which lives in a groove on the male side of the male-female adapter that was...

Need some help with a fitting indentification

I installed a Kioti 3rd function kit recently. One of the soft lines had a flared fitting that connects to a nipple they provided. The nipple is supposed to go into an existing adapter that had a Banjo fitting (hard line I removed for the install), but the nipple they provided had a groove and...

Installing the Kioti 3rd function kit? read this

This is the offending fitting. The adapter was there from OEM. The top of the hard pipe that connects to the rubber hose stops the detented rear remote lever from moving all the way back now. Maybe there's another way to do this or just leave it since it isn't leaking....yet?

Installing the Kioti 3rd function kit? read this

I bought the Kioti 3rd function kit for my 2015 CK4010. The dealers won't ask you for your serial number which is a bit of a red flag, but read on... Kit is well designed and reasonably priced, IMO. $740, plus tax and shipping for me. The instructions are beyond horrible. Multiple pages...

2475 backhoe looking for better outrigger pads

Any suggestions for commercially made outrigger pads for the 2475? Something that isn't flat as the flat ones slide around too much for my liking. Thanks

    Gannon/Woods HD4272 hydraulic box blade

A little video of the beast in action. I had forgotten to disengage the parking brake during this run. Seems to work very well. That high back box holds a lot of material. When it's loaded up, the tractor does work a bit, but I lose traction on the front wheels before I run out of power. I...

    Gannon/Woods HD4272 hydraulic box blade

Well, we got it out of his truck (was ridiculously easy once we thought about it a little) I had new hoses made up as the old ones looked brittle and I put it to work this evening. It's amazing how well these things work. The hydraulic scarifiers are such a wonderful addition. I started...

    Gannon/Woods HD4272 hydraulic box blade

I have a buddy with a HD4272 hydraulic box blade he wants to sell me. It's in like new condition. I'm assuming these are the king daddy of box blades. Anything to look out for? 1140 pounds, cat 1/2, 40-80 hp tractors according to Woods. Thanks

    3rd function kits....proportioning or not?

I'm utterly confused on the many 3rd function options for my Kioti CK4010. Diverters, true 3rd function, super true 3rd function, etc. MIE offers 2 3rd function kits that are listed as "true 3rd function", but one has the ability to feather the 3rd function controls vs just being on/off. I...

    Rotary cutter..what to expect?

You can see in the pics how tall the grass/weeds were. That red chair was marking the first in a line of 5' Ash fence posts. One thing I was impressed with is the power this machine produces. I have been using a friends new Kubota L3650 with a 60" landpride cutter on much shorter grass/weeds...

    Rotary cutter..what to expect?

Did my first work with the Kioti RC1060 rotary cutter tonight. Field with grass 3-6' tall. Hasn't been cut in several years. After cutting it, the center of each pass I mowed had standing grass, etc. Is that normal for taller field grass (upstate NY) I mowed with RPMS around 2200 in medium...

    Tach reading high after wash

I washed my new to me CK4010 yesterday. I used a low power, electric pressure washer to conserve water (we're on a well) When I was done I drove it around for 30 minutes just trying everything out and there were no issues. Today, I pulled it into my shop and serviced the front diff, engine...

Those of you who have these...can you still use the bucket for things like snow removal, back dragging, etc. with them attached?

    backhoe buckets

Are backhoe buckets generally the same fit? For example, will a 12" bucket from a Kubota or other smaller hoe (my Kioti has a 7.5' hoe) fit a Kioti? I need a 12" bucket and there are a few used ones near me, but they're not Kioti brand. I assume someone builds these backhoes for Kioti.

How much trailer will I need?

Just so you can see what a CK4010, loader, backhoe and 6' cutter looks like loaded on a 20' (and I mean exactly 20' long) trailer. Towed like nothing was back there. Helps when you have 1200 ft lbs of torque.

    151 hours CK4010 service questions

Just bought a 151 hour old CK4010. I need to order filters to service it. Are Kioti the best option or are there aftermarket like Wix that I can save a few bucks on? What weight oil do you guys run? T6 is my go-to for my motorcycles so I have a bunch of it in the shop already. Any specific...

Buying Advice Looking for opinions on prices

Went to collect the tractor last night. Had a few hiccups as it wasn't *exactly* as described when I arrived. A few small things and a leaking left rear axle seal. Managed to get a big reduction in price (several thousand) so I ended up getting a steal. Starts and runs like new. Needs to be...

    Hauling a tractor/backhoe question

CK4010 with backhoe. When hauling this is it better to have the hoe in the locked position (with the pins or locking latch engaged) or set the bucket on the trailer floor?

How much trailer will I need?

Planning the collection of my Kioti 4010 this week. It has a FEL, Backhoe and 60" rotary cutter. I figure I can use the loader to put the cutter in the bed of the truck, but how long of a trailer will I need for the tractor and backhoe? Images of something loaded with trailer lengths would be...

    Box Blade alternatives to EA?

Just bought a CK4010 HST (came with a loader, backhoe and rotary butter) and a Box Blade is my first needed implement. I called EA and they're 10-12 weeks lead time on anything they sell so I'm looking for suggestions on alternative brands. I'm looking for a fixed tailgate unit, 72". I want...

Buying Advice  Looking for opinions on prices

I'm looking at a few Kioti and Kubota tractors. 30-40 HP units mainly. Open station (I'd love a cab, but they're pricey) I found a 2015 CK4010 recently with 200 hours, stored indoors, has HST, Pallet forks, bucket, backhoe and 6' rotary cutter...all Kioti branded implements. Service records...

ASV SR80 rear lights not working

Just did some plowing tonight with my SR80 and noticed the rear halogen lights are not working. Fronts work fine, fuses and relays are all good. Anyone have any thoughts?
