    Older Woods RM-90

I am looking at an older model Woods RM-90 finish mower. The mower appears to be in good shape, but I don't know what a fair price would be. One thing that bothers me about it is that it only has 2 wheels. I wonder how hard/expensive it would be to add 2 wheels to the front?

    Mowing  Mowing with a TC-55DA?

I am thinking about starting to do some mowing of larger lawns/fields this year. I am wondering what size finish mower would work with my tractor? Would I be able to use a larger batwing mower, or should I stick to a smaller 3-point mower?

What kind of cutter is this?

I bought this 7' cutter yesterday. The guy I bought it from didn't know much about it, and I have no idea what it might be. The slip clutch is cracked near the u-joint. I am thinking about replacing the 2-piece shaft with a 1-piece. Would that work?

Using creek water in the house.

I am planning a project that will involve pumping creek water about 150' to our house to use in our 2 water source heat pumps. The creek is spring-fed and has not run dry, even in the drought we are experiencing. It appears to flow enough water to supply our 2 units. My plan is to divert the...

TC 55DA hard to turn when using the loader

I've been having a hard time turning when sitting still or slowly moving with a bale of hay on the front. I am moving large round bales that weigh 1200-1500 lbs or so. That should be well within the loader/tractor's capability, shouldn't it?

Anyone ever broken a trailer hitch or ball?

While looking for a cheap 2 5/16" ball to use for moving my g/n trailers around the yard, I noticed that the cheaper, chrome balls were only rated at 5,000 lbs. That got me thinking about the second-hand g/n hitch that I put in my truck last year. It came with a chrome ball already in it. After...

    I need a bigger trailer

I have started looking at some gooseneck trailers to fill my need for a bigger, heavier duty trailer than the 18' car hauler I have now. I have been looking at some Big Tex, Lawrimore, Texas Pride and another brand that I can't recall at the moment. They all are priced pretty close to each...

    Bowed my bucket.

I was removing some trees from the front yard the other day when I must have caught one of the bigger trees at just the right angle to bow the front edge of my bucket. I was able to straighten it back out, but it creased the bucket near where the flat bottom begins to curve upwards. I talked...

Moving round bales, how much to charge?

I may have to opportunity to help a local farmer move and load several (possibly hundreds?) round bales of hay. He is an older gentleman who is having a hard time finding anyone to help with his land and cattle. Since I have a tractor with a loader and the means to trailer it, I offered my...

Towing my tractor with the canopy?

I installed the canopy on my tractor today, and I noticed something kinda scary while I was hauling it home. I got on the interstate and started to get up to speed. I looked back at my tractor and saw that the canopy was moving a good bit up and down due to the wind. I got off at the next exit...

    Best way to remove/reuse t-posts?

I am planning on moving some fencing, and I am wondering how I can use my tractor/fel to do it. How can I pull the posts straight up, so that I can reuse them?

Rotary Cutter  What size rotary cutter for a TC55DA?

I will be cutting between 10 and 15 acres of our pasture and have considered doing some bush hogging on the side for other people in our area. I am thinking a 7' medium duty cutter will work well. What are your thoughts?

    Brought the new TC55A home

I took off work today to go pick up my new tractor. I got it home about 11 a.m. The first thing I did was try out the loader a little bit. It will take some time to learn how to operate it to it's fullest potential. I then hooked up the little bush hog and proceeded to cut a few acres of...

    TC55DA with 120hrs and a Woods 1020 fel

I am looking at a TC55DA that seems to be in good condition. It has a Woods 1020 loader with a 4in1 QA bucket. The asking price is $20,500. Does that seem about right? Daniel H.
