I’ve run literally miles of 7018, it works in all positions, and doesn’t require much, if any prep. Probably not as good as 6011 on dirty or rusty metal, but it works just fine. And it is stronger. Runs AC or DC just fine.

For general repair and fabrication I much prefer 7014 over 7018. No where near as “fussy” about storage or restarting an arc.

My guess is that the TV settings changed and the audio output is not set to optical. It looks like the other connection is HDMI. If you use that, make sure that the TV is set to out put audio to HDMI. Also make sure the soundbar is set to receive on whichever input you use.

There is a HDPE tube with an aluminum ply that is intended for air line use. It is similar to PEX, but uses compression type fittings. Brand names would be Maxline or RapidAire. Much better choice than PVC.

I’ve got the TIG225, MIG285 and the CUT60. When I bought the TIG225 the 325 was not available. I would have gotten that if it was available then, but it’s a newer model. It goes higher and lower in current and has a higher duty cycle. I would also suggest the cooler and liquid cooled torch.
