I think SpeeCo and Land Pride have cat 1 quick hitches that use cat 1 pins. The Land Pride is a QH10. There are a few off brands also. I'm modifying the Harbor Freight hitch to fit tighter. At $12 total cost (Rural King) it's not that expensive for precision upper and lower bushings.

There are other low cost QH out there that are closer to spec vs the ones HF sells. The HF quick hitch could be decent if the clearance issue with the top hook was fixed along with making the pin fit closer to specifications. It is durable enough.

To use cat 1 implements on a QH it needs to be adapted up to cat 3 pins. 1 1/4 top and 1 7/16 inch bottom. One inch water pipe doesn't fit on a quality QH. Plus the ID is wrong unless a bushing is inside. For the OD it will work on the top of a cheap out of spec one such as the Harbor freight.

Tire ballast is great for traction and makes a poor loader counterweight. Extending low weight behind the 3pt is much more effective and safe.

They make good heavy duty 3pt rotary cutters. The 5 foot cutter weighs 718 pounds. Local dealers couldn't move them and ended up in auctions cheap. Other than lawn mowers don't see any equipment locally.

There are some stump buckets that are more square. Only 16 feet difficult to justify cost unless you have other projects.

I also have 2 implements with conventional straight adaptor bushings and bent washers on ends. Bushings must go from cat 1 to cat 3.

Never seen a problem using this type of bushing. Even with loose fit Harbor Freight quick hitch and multiple implements. Zero problems with QH15 also.

Cab type thermostat housing

Interesting project. Looks like a nipple is put in the top of the water pump and the other one needs to come back through a CAB type thermostat housing.

Too much paint build up on the alignment pads can cause clearance and pin fit issues. My thinking is the top mounts clearance left and right sides should be equal after dropping into bottom hooks. Both should contact the pads equally.

I had the same problem with the upper bolts and clearance issues on a HF hitch. The top hook on the Land Pride sticks out further and so far no issues. I have 2 implements that need some work to be quick hitch compatable.

LX series travel speeds and tire options

I have an LX2610 with the standard R4 tires. Steering stops are required if you want the larger tires. I have a lot of soft places in the woods and will order the larger tires after things get back to normal.
