Thats what i would think, but ive seen a few people suggest this so was curious as to the reason why

    TYM T474 SIDE LINK

So...I just started looking for one to keep my roads crowned. Maybe this is a dumb question, but why would you only want it to adjust 1 direction? Easier to level it again? Id think youd want equal adjustment in both directions? But never having used one, maybe i dont know what im talking about...

Cutting back trail sides. Lane shark/sickle/flail?

Well, I also have to mow it with the tractor thats 8' high, so like to keep it cut to probably 10' high so branches arent rubbing down the cab

Cutting back trail sides. Lane shark/sickle/flail?

Looking for recommendations on something for keeping the growth back. This is maintaining a few times a year, not creating trails. Mostly blackberry vine, some yaupon and pine branches that we get tired of slapping in the face when going by on an atv. Been doing it with a hedge trimmer on an ATV...

    Shredder and Lane Shark

Maybe forested areas differ, but its not really just trees. Its a pine forest. And lots of trash brush and tall weeds that creep out into trails. I dont think USDA is going to come out multiple times/year and i cant clear 30' trails through the forest. What is unsafe about a lane shark?

    Shredder and Lane Shark

I see that now. Ive seen lots of folks in TYM pages running lane sharks and LS actually suggests running off the 3rd function with a continuous flow switch

    Shredder and Lane Shark

Not sure that is true. I mow a few miles of trails through the woods a few times/year and usually spend days going through with a pole saw and/or hedge trimmers in the 4 wheeler as well to keep the sides of the trails from creeping in 4 or 5x a year as well. If i rented a mulcher at...

    Shredder and Lane Shark

Looking at a TYM T574 HST and wondering if it would run a 6' shredder on the PTO and a Lane Shark off the front (probably through the rear hydros for flow reasons) at the same time. Or would this be too much of a draw on the hydraulic system? Im in the woods and it would be awful handy for...

    2555 throttle not responding

2017 2555 hst about 600 hrs. Had it about 4 yrs. In that time this happened a couple times, but this weekend it happened multiple times. After running the tractor for a couple hours fine, if i throttle down, then throttle back up, it wouldnt go above 1500 rpms. Let it cool a few hours it would...

    Widest Cat 1 Rotary cutter?

im not creating trails, just keeping them mowed down a few times a year. They are rarely more than a foot high when i mow. There are a couple food plots 1 to 3ac in size that def get taller by the time to mow them as i usually let them go all summer until time to plant for fall deer food plot. I...

    Widest Cat 1 Rotary cutter?

I dont see where thats listed anywhere, but my disc harrow is 1200lbs and never had any issues. Think life is rated at 3300ish for my tractor. It looks like i need to either find some bushings or a pin like my cultipacker uses. Step pin that works for cat 1 and 2

    Widest Cat 1 Rotary cutter?

Most of mine are already about 8' wide and like to keep them there :)

    Widest Cat 1 Rotary cutter?

Probably too big. My property is in east texas pineywoods. With a 6', i have to mow trails twice. With an 8' i think once would work. 8' prob as wide as i can run down trails without removing lots more trees. 10'maybe, but not sure. Im thinking i can get that 8', as long as the yoke width isnt...

    Widest Cat 1 Rotary cutter?

Seems all the 8' ones ive seen are Cat 2 and since my tractor is cat 1...so not a match. Are there any good medium duty 8' 3pt shredders? Will i need to start looking at a pull behind for an 8'? I have a good heavy duty 6', but was hoping to find an 8' to save some time. I dont know that its...

    box blade scraper retention

I picked up this box blade and having trouble keeping the scrapers in place. When the scrapers are in place, there is about 5/8" gap behind them. The guy i bought it from had these bent pins behind it, but they really arent tight enough to take up the space, so allow the scraper to move, which...

    milwaukee battery 1/2" impact question

Haa....that woulda been nice, but no such luck. Just reading the replies. Im leaning toward the mid torque honestly as it is considerably lighter and should do all i need since my air impact always has. Still not 100% sure though

    milwaukee battery 1/2" impact question

Was looking at getting the M18 2962 mid torque, 650ft lb. My air impact is 750 ft lb and has always done everything i needed. Obviously, theres a part of me that says no, get the 2767 for a few dollars more that has 1400 ft lbs. It also weighs 50% more. It isnt for daily use, just fixing things...

Would an angle blade be better than box blade for this?

im sure, but that means adding another set of remotes so its not in the cards for now

Would an angle blade be better than box blade for this?

I just bought a HTL, so I will have that next time I use the BB. I think, from what it folks are advising, most angle blades dont have the weight to cut into the side hill and Ill be using my BB.

Would an angle blade be better than box blade for this?

my box blade can tilt by adjusting the lower 3pt arms on the tractor. My thinking was that doing that, and having an angled blade would work better than just a tilted box blade. I dont know what my box blade weighs, but its a HD 6' so 5-600lbs? From what it looks like, most of the 6'...

Would an angle blade be better than box blade for this?

When we had our place re-planted in pine this spring, they cut firebreaks for a controlled burn. I want to keep them as trails, but a couple are on a significant sidehill in parts. I used my box blade, with the blade tilted on one side to make them more level to drive on and keep mowed. It was...

    Hydraulic fitting leak

One of the fittings for my front remote (for grapple) is leaking pretty decent. Checked and its screwed on tight. Only leaks when the hose for grapple is connected, so I should take that to mean theres something wrong with the fitting? Ive also seen that there are 2 types of fittings, one has a...

    Smoothing Clear Cut Land

We did the same thing as you, more or less. Bought land right after it was logged and had about 40ac to clear for pasture. I spent a whole summer with a grapple cleaning slash. Very slow process and made me wish i had a full skid plate after the 4th or 5th time a log came up and busted a hose...

    Maintenance thread for Mahindra Owner's

I have learned, because mine is in for about a $1000 repair, that the 2555 has a grease zert on the the power steering pump and if not greased, the bearings inside burn up. Never thought to look in an engine for places to grease. Not sure what other motors have it but it isnt in the manual

    Mahindra 2555 PTO not turning

    shredder opinion?

We bought some land and now i need a shredder. Tractor is 2555 Mahindra (55hp) so getting a 6'. The land is Texas Piney woods that was mostly logged last year. So I wont be mowing pastures, but keeping areas where we hunt mowed down and trails. Mostly weeds with the whatever shrubs that may try...

    trailer for tractor and SxS?

Anyone carry both? I have an 18' for my tractor with loader which is about 12' long. Have a 2seat Ranger, that i dont think i could put it on trailer sideways as its almost 9' long. Just wondering if anyones tried getting both to fit on a 22 or 24' trailer while still keeping the tractor weight...

    LS XR4145 vs Kioti DK4710SE

Looking at both of these tractors with HST and cabs. Specs are about the same, 45 hp/4000lb/2500lb loader lift. LS is a hair cheaper. Ive seen some complaints about bucket speed with the LS. Dealers are both close by. So far, havent seen anything on them I dont like as far as driving around...

    MF 1552

Found a 1552 with cab, 4wd, power shuttle qps, 500 hrs for under 18K. Seems to be exactly what i want with the one exception that it has a pin on bucket. A conversion plate to change to SSQA on the front is a little under 1K, but still seems like a great deal to me even doing that...

    skid steer quick attach

Im hoping im an idiot and someone will set me straight. Im about to buy a MF 1552 with 1530 loader. It does not, however, have the ssqa front. The place I am buying it from said there were adaptor plates for a couple hundred. My searching seems to show more in the 1000-1700 range. Am I not...
