Massey Ferguson MF135 Multipower Transmission Oil Change

Excellent post, and thank you! I wish I had found this BEFORE changing my hydraulic oil...but had to get it done due to hay season. I needed the information on he MultiPower filter. So it isn't a standalone filter! Now I know! I guess I can return the filter I ordered, as my tractor looks...

    7-Pin Pinout on Workmaster 120

Solved the problem. Thank you! Not sure but it seems the polarity is reversed (multitester showing a negative voltage with black wire on the ground pin (top pin) and red wire on the center pin. The bottom pin (#4 in the diagram at the link above) seems to be not connected.

    7-Pin Pinout on Workmaster 120

Thank you very much. I'll go out and have a look at this later today and see if it helps. Looks like either pin 7 or 4 would be appropriate. I don't know why New Holland couldn't include a pinout picture in the manual... Giving pin numbers with no picture is pretty useless. <haha>

    7-Pin Pinout on Workmaster 120

I have a sprayer I would like to connect to my WM120. Unfortunately, the pinout I was given is not working for me. I ended up blowing a fuse (and hopefully not also the relay) tinkering around with stuff (bad multimeter connection, fixed) but now that things are connected correctly on the...

    Radios in Workmaster Series

I have a 2023 Workmaster 120 and am not impressed with the radio. I cannot see the display, ever, regardless of how bright the intensity is. Is there a better quality radio available for these? I assume they are a standard automotive form factor and any unit of similar impedance/wattage would...

    Bale Fork for Moving Pallet?

Sounds like it'll meet my needs well. Thank you!!

    Bale Fork for Moving Pallet?

I have a 2-prong bale fork and was wondering if I can use it (in a pinch) to move pallets. Buying a separate pallet fork for said purpose doesn't make sense, given the infrequent need, but my hay fork is used quite often. Thank you.

    CNH NEW MODELS

Well, then they can go without any future business from me. The Amish know a thing or two. We may see a return to relatively primitive means of farming, and I bet many consumers would support it.

    CNH NEW MODELS

The entire push to electric is just NUTS. FOOLISHNESS. Farms don't run on margins big enough to support this garbage, unless they're in a market where they can pass the costs to the consumer.

Buying Advice Just buy the darn tractor

Even if you were 25, I'm not sure you could have done it. The dirt here is just to rocky. I can work hard all day long and, even disabled, can outwork most younger folks. That said, I tried digging 2 holes for posts for a gate using a post hole digger and rock pick and bruised my hands so...

    Printed Service Manuals

I was quoted about $850 for a printed service manual for a 2023 Workmaster 120, today, by my dealer. Anyone know if a better price is available for a genuine New Holland service manual for this tractor? $850 seems excessive. And out of print, too!

    Anyone Have a Powerstar 75?

I think a friend had a 5 year old Deere in the 75hp range and was asking $68k for it. Seems tractors are holding value quite well...but it makes it tough to buy used when a new one is available with full warranty and at not much more cost.

    Anyone Have a Powerstar 75?

Price varies according to when the unit was shipped and your distance from shipping, from what I gather. I was quoted about $95k for a PS120, I think, in June. Bought a Workmaster 120. That's finance price for the 0%. Cash price is significantly less. Were I not ready to buy that day and...

    2023 New Holland WM 105

See if hitting or holding down the MENU key gets you somewhere, then using the arrow keys to scroll through or using the volume knob (I think it also can be pushed in to confirm settings). Hope I will have mine back by Friday evening. I'll help further if I get it back, we have the same radio.

    2023 New Holland WM 105

My tractor is still in the shop, otherwise I'd help you. I have a WM120, 2023 model, and suspect the radios are the same. I recall (maybe incorrectly) that there's a button on the left side of the radio that roundabout got me into settings. Admittedly, the instructions for the radio should be...

New Powerstar 120~ Fixing to earn it's keep...

Yup, absolutely would have considered the PowerStar if I spent more time out in the fields and if I were a more tractor experienced. My WM120 is my first tractor purchase, just been at the farming biz for several years now and think I'm too "new" to buy a luxury tractor without feeling guilty...

New Powerstar 120~ Fixing to earn it's keep...

Yeah, it is a good idea nowadays. I have a very small farm but carry when I'm out. Too disabled to fight or run, these days. Too many issues with animals out and about...and the 2-footed type of animals aren't always on the up and up.

New Powerstar 120~ Fixing to earn it's keep...

Nice machine! I was looking at one of these...ended up going with the Workmaster 120 instead. I figure some day down the road when I have a bit more gray in my hair and NEED some of the features on that PowerStar, I'll reconsider. They sure are beautiful machines and that cab is awesome. Enjoy!!

    Workmaster 120 - Code 3999

On followup, tractor is back at dealer for the code. They found a loose connection at the fuel filter. Tightened it but there was still a small leak, so they ordered a new gasket. Hopefully will fix the issue. Not sure how a tractor with 7 hours on the clock has this happen, but I guess...

    Workmaster 120 - Code 3999

Thank you for this. I'm going to look into getting the interface and software you mentioned. If this is simple then, yes, it is NUTS to trailer a tractor in (I don't own a trailer) for this. I'm with you...too much of this sensor/code stuff and I'm going to sell this equipment and find...

    Workmaster 120 - Code 3999

Well, fixed the rear window latch issue on a brand new New Holland Workmaster 120, but earlier this month started having a Code 3999 show up when I start the tractor. I cleared it by multiple restarts the first time. Could not clear it when using the tractor last night. So, a brand new New...

Rear Window Won't Latch on New Holland Workmaster 120

So in followup... I ended up cutting and putting the necessary bolt holes in a shim the same size and approximately same thickness as the metal piece beneath the latch receiver mounted on the tractor frame. That is sufficient to take care of the latch close problem. Shouldn't have to do that...

    Round bales and cleanup

Thanks paulsharvey and Hay Dude. I store my round bales on pallets...so sure...I'll throw a piece of plywood on top and put the bale on top of that (nails/screws coming out in hay = terrifying). I pull the netting entirely off the bales I feed...yes, bad way for an animal to die.

    Round bales and cleanup

I was thinking about doing this with the round bale I fed earlier this month, but was advised against it due to waste. There's waste, anyway...so I might give it a shot if (God forbid) I have to feed another round bale this summer. I think an unrolled round bale would be easier to deal with...

    Round bales and cleanup

I am new to ag, have sheep, and typically have fed them round bales in winter (well, the one winter I've had them so far...) I had to feed a bale this month due to drought. I have noticed sheep won't eat the entire bale...there's always a little at the bottom that's wasted. Problem is, this...

Rear Window Won't Latch on New Holland Workmaster 120

Nope. I'm guessing a manufacturing issue but seems really odd this would not have been caught by QC nor at predelivery.

Rear Window Won't Latch on New Holland Workmaster 120

Somehow missed this prior to delivery, but the rear window won't latch on my new WM120. I can't quickly find anything about adjustment in the manual, and can't see a way to adjust the latch. I'll look again in daylight tomorrow. Curious if there's a defect or if I've overlooked a simple...

Kubota M5660SUHD caught on fire (60hrs)!

New Holland wouldn't let me purchase without insurance, first. Surprised you were able to finance without insurance. I didn't have to buy their insurance but did have to provide proof of insurance with the other financing documents.

Haying small fields with a small tractor

Bingo...great post. I've experienced similar to what you describe, here in Missouri. Made the decision to buy a new tractor last week...it just makes sense given my age, the need to hay for people in the area, and my lack of patience for relying on others to hay for me. Not to mention the...

    Comparison Workmaster 95 vs TD5050

Yeah, not sure what's going on with that, either. What gets me is the WorkMaster has a 6200 pound hitch capacity option that I *thought* was available from the dealer. Supposedly it is a factory-only option. I'm getting different stories on that, not sure why it would need to be factory only...

Buying Advice Just buy the darn tractor

BINGO! Just turned 50, retired from the military a few years ago following a disabling reaction to a dadgummed flu shot. Former competitive runner, now can barely walk and, like you, have good days and bad days. Hard to build a financial case for tractor ownership but in the long term it'll...

    Comparison Workmaster 95 vs TD5050

Yeah, I was a bit aggravated with New Holland's hitch capacities, too. My Workmaster is "only" rated at 3200 pounds, though there is a 6200 pound upgrade option that STUPIDLY cannot be done as an upgrade at the dealer (according to them). Supposedly only available as a factory order. Buy what...

New Holland Workmaster Rear Window Latch

On my new Workmaster, noticed the rear window does not latch closed. Is there a known issue? It'll latch to the cracked open position, but not closed. The tooth on the latch isn't long enough to properly seat in the latch mechanism below the window. Wondering if a space wasn't installed, etc...

    Workmaster versus Powerstar

True. My salesman said he wasn't supposed to tell me what you just pointed out (haha). I left mine as is from the factory -- the position doesn't bother me so wasn't worth moving things 180 degrees.
  38. M

    Workmaster versus Powerstar

I don't think so. I gave in and bought a WM120 last weekend after finally getting tired of having to ask buddies with tractors to come help on the farm. The PowerStar features are nice but I won't use the extra loader/hitch capacity or other niceties and wanted a simpler machine that I won't...

    Solar Farm #2, dangers involved.

Corporate owns you. They own me. They own everyone and everything. And we all thought governments ran the show... When Corporate decides it is time to make real money, they'll decide to have a war. Seriously, I am becoming more and more of the opinion that a few key conglomerates have a lot...

Haying small fields with a small tractor

When? How long ago? I am new to this game. So you're saying dealers/the industry is telling people we have to upsize when that's not really true? (My farm is hilly, so I *do* need a weightier machine).

Haying small fields with a small tractor

Big difference between that Farmall back then and the 26hp offerings, now, I suspect. I'm new here and found this post earlier this week when trying to decide whether to buy a tractor. Tough decision. The bottom line was, the tractor's used for more than hay and needs to be safe and rated for...
