are you saying that the 5145/5155 now have electric PTO engagement? the 2022 models did not.

sounds to me from the OP's post that the PTO is rotating and the mower is not (or is but then stops after operating at load) sounds to me like a PTO shaft shear pin or clutch, the PTO shield separating would also be a sign that the shear pin or clutch is out. could also be the PTO engagement...

did you check the shear pin on the mower PTO shaft (if equipped with a shear pin) or the slip clutch on the mower PTO shaft.

51 series is does not have electrical PTO engagement, long mechanical lever activated (one of the reasons i got it)

kind of my objections also, like i said an old tire rim without the tire a 2X10 and the chain over the rim attached to the draw bar, + a coat laid over the leingth of the chain is my go to, and allows for a lot of chain to be placed between the tractor and the action.

welcome and congrats, the 5145 is a hell of a tractor i think you will enjoy it, as to the PTO clutch issue i would not know i have never taken the cover off of it (yet).

my go to is an old tire rim (the larger the better) without the tire on it. attach a chain to the post as low as you can, place a 2X10 on the ground put the rim down on its rounded side with the chain over it then attach the other end of the chain to the draw bar on the tractor and pull.

replacing the Hydraulic is 100hr service so the question of is the $1000 50hr service including the hydraulic needs to be asked, if it does then yes $1000 is reasonable if not it is $400 high IMO.

IMO $1000 is high, are they replacing the hydraulic fluid, it is not called for in the 50hr. the oil/filters only add up to $300. i was quoted 500ish.

what RPM are you operating at? mine is fine at 1500 or above and some times too fast at 2000 rpm, well it moves faster than the mental speed of the operator anyway. the flow rate of the 5145 is in the mid 8s so no slouch, but that is at rated rpm not idle.

in my plan minor movement of the rack with roof attached is less likely to disturb the roof than if it was independent.

for me personally i do not want this storage attached to anything or around anything because i tend to overdo it and push stuff thru my storage or back up into something while im distracted so my plan is free standing so i only tear up the rack worst case

IMO get the FEL they are MUCH cheaper to buy with the tractor than add later and they are a life saver in your situation. you will not believe you even thought about not getting one after having one for a wile.

the 50 hour is not that big of a deal to do yourself, I skipped the replacement of the hydraulic oil, just replaced the filter, it was an easy job and save me a lot of time/$. my dealer told me he had never seen a hydraulic screen clogged at the 50 so i skipped that also.

put a continuity tester between one of the wires and ground, then push the buttons, that will tell you what you want to know. edit between the 2 wires in each set not ground and the wires

i use my grapple and push them into a pile then burn when burn ban is over, it works very well, i come back every few months and take out any pop ups. grapple takes care of the brushy area at the same time.
