    R1 tires/rims for DK series

Is there any interest out there for a set (4) of R1 (AG tread) tires for a DK series tractor. They have 95% tread remaining (less than 2 miles on roads). I’m thinking $1,500 range Willing to deliver free with in 100 miles of Naples NY

Kioti DK5010 ( standard tranny) after 34 hours

Short answer - Loving it!! It replaced a Kubota L3400. Pimped out with extendable link arms and stabilizer kit, 2 rear remotes ( used for leveling and top link hydraulics), and Piranha tooth bar. Pros: Love the shuttle shift, wider stance, synchro mesh, increased weight and hydraulic power...

    Kioti

For what it’s worth; I would be wary of buying a machine from a “non-dealer”! (RK etc.) Warranty, parts, and future resale value would be my concerns. Also just general accumulated knowledge when you have questions.

    Kioti

Check out the CK series - I don’t know what the loader capacity is - but the smaller frame size makes it noticeably more nimble - although a little tippier if you have a hilly property.

P.S. I am impressed with Kiotis overall quality.

    Kioti

Here’s my take on Kubota vs Kioti - they are Both orange! But seriously; I just upgraded from a Kubota L3400 to a Kioti DK5010. Both are standard transmission. My motivation for a new tractor was loader capacity. The closest Kubota is an L4701 - its loader could just pick what I desired, but...

Anyone running a hydraulic auger on their FEL

    Kioti DK model Comparisons

Neil from Messicks did a draw bar force comparison of standard tranny vs HST on Kubotas ( can’t recall the HP right now) - results: standard tranny kicked HSTs a*#. Was instrumental in me deciding to go with a synchro shuttle shift. Check it out - it’s on YouTube.

    Purchase dilemma

The reason I am going with ballasted tires is that I have very hilly property. About the only ground engaging attachments I run are a middle buster, roto tiller, and box blade. Also, I regularly maxed out the FEL on my L3400 and brought the rear end off the ground even with a 3pt skidding...

Price Check L3240HST w/FEL and Ballast Box - Value?

Let me relate my recent experience selling a used 2011 Kubota L3400. This is a standard tranny machine with few if any factory bells and whistles. I added a 3rd function and Pat’s easy hitch. The dealer offered me $11,000 on a trade towards a Kioti DK4510 - I was unhappy with that # so...

    l2501 lift capacity

Kubota s’ loader #s = loader capacity in KGs at full height. Typically that would be much more at “just off the ground” ! I don’t know the weight of a cement block - but loader capacity is determined by several factors (pump capacity, relief valve settings, front axle strength, ballast trim...

    Brush hogging

If you are not mowing tall grass, and your tractor has the HP; you can set the mower “reverse tilt” - higher in the front. That gives you a double cut with the blades - that and opening up the back should give you a nice cut. You just might have to reset the tilt do do tall stuff though.

    Foam filled front tires?

I am soon to take possession of a new Kioti DK5010. My property has lots of Hawthorne trees, which in the past have punctured the front tires of my Kubota l3400. I plan to wage war on these obnoxious trees with a Titan tree puller. My question is - thoughts on filling the front tires with foam...

    DK 4510 - battery location a PIA?

    DK 4510 - battery location a PIA?

Nice grill guard - As far as the owners manual, I don’t own the tractor yet - the battery question is part of my purchase decision making process. The service manager may be a viable alternative - but my salesman didn’t have a ready answer - he is looking into it.

    DK 4510 - battery location a PIA?

DK4510 - a simpler version of the 4510se - no hydro - and the battery is underslung on the drivers side inboard of the platform step - not ideal IMHO. 4510SE is now hydro only.
