One thing you could try is to create a wire with a momentary switch between the 2 ends. A clamp on one end. Attach clamp side to + on battery. A spade on the other end. Disconnect the positive starter SOLENOID wire. Should be able to pull out the positive solenoid spade and attach the new wire...
