I'd put up a "$10,000 reward" sign.
Buy 10,000 Indonesian Rupiahs (less than 1 U.S. penny).
When turtles are returned, call the police & give them their "reward".
(Sign didn't say 10,000 U.S. dollars).
fuddy they stole them in two passes; first they stole the two biggest ones
and then emboldened I guess came back a week later and took every single one.

The original American Indians in my area were called the Leni Lenape and the local
group was the Turtle Clan. Always kind of hoping some turtle spirit would catch up with the perps.

I lived on Terrapin Track Road in NC. Kinda went with the theme...

finished and installed my kitchen pot holder and feel really good about, as in
I didn't screw it up.
no stripped screws
no gouged wood
every screw sunk hard into wood
not going anywhere

I'm sure helped by Popgadget's reminder about adding a little soap to the big four inch screws, helped them go in.
I had to change Makita 3/8 drill to driver setting, stalled on everything else.
nice to see top of my stove again
Nice, I like it. Great job

That looks gorgeous. Nice job all. I like the way you are storing the lids.
on this day in NC my turtles were dressed for the holidays and
headed to pay their respects
they sure were fun til someone decided they needed them more than I
turtle nappers

That's pretty darn low to make off with someone's terrapins. Fun photo though.

@Buppies gorgeous photos. Thanks!

@sodamo, I'm glad your sushi place panned out. Our favorite local place here folded a few years ago, and we are still looking for a replacement.

This morning's business was a shopping run down the hill, and the valley below us is socked in with pea soup thick fog, perhaps 40' visibility, but up the hill here, it is a gorgeous, sunny day. I have never seen fog this thick, outside of England. I wonder if it is for similar reasons (smog/smoke into thick fog). AQI of 2 here, while down the hill the AQI is 114+ in and under the fog. Ick.

All the best,

Peter

in hindsight wish I had never offered to receive an electric wheelbarrow my brother is buying his wife for
Christmas. Box was almost a hundred pounds, could not get it into my cart, hurt my back horsing it around,
and finally had to get a box cutter and cut the whole shipping box in pieces. Then I could offload the pieces,
the battery and motor parts were really heavy boxes inside.
Wouldn't be a problem but brother is in Florida and strong backs are hard to come by.
my SIL is avid gardener and will have fun hauling mulch with this wheelbarrow.

otherwise enjoying a quiet afternoon, nice to have a little sun out

Ok, this is sorta funny now that it's over.

I was blown off my feet by my Stihl backpack blower. DearWife advised me this morning that some company was stopping by later so I thought I would blow leaves out of the extra carport bay for them to pull into. Thought it would be a quick easy task.

I usually start the blower and then put it on. This time somehow before getting it completely on and strapped I must have hit the trigger and accelerated the blower when I was off balance causing me to fall into some shelves. Before anyone knew about it I recovered and got up, shut the blower off, picked up everything, back in place, put the blower back on and blew out the carport. Nothing to show for it except a small bruise on my left hand.

I am always amazed at the power that thing has but I respect it more now.

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low was a chilly 6.2C and it's presently warmed to 14.6C [heading to 20C], mostly clear & calm.

Well, the annual "Wagtail Park Wood-stacking Festival" is over for another year.

As per usual, I'm off to Church in a few minutes followed by a trestle-table pick up task from the Uniting Church = the combined Christian Ladies had a wreath making workshop yesterday. Once that's done the rest of the day will be His.

That's about it, take care all.
