Walmart has even "upsized" or "upgraded" our order a few times. Ordered half gallon of milk a couple times as we don't use a lot unless it's the weeks I have custody of my son (14), and they gave us 1 gallon for the same price. My wife mentioned some others but I don't recall the specifics .

They are fine now. He figured all three kids had it, but you couldn't tell. They were tiring me out just watching them run around the yard while I talked to their dad. ...

Kids < 10 YO pester me to watch their trampoline moves. It's fun to hang with them while they still think you're ok. If they're noisy like kids are I can go to sleep to that music. My favorite booth in the restaurant will be near the one full of noisy kids. I guess the happiness doesn't need to be translated. I don't care where it rubs off from, but I know where to look.

Brother ordered groceries from Kroger for pick-up including some TP. What Bird said about substitutions. We had a contest to see which of us had a brand was easiest to read the newspaper through. Someone had given me some 1-ply Scott TP that's unbelievable crappy. When they ran low I gave it back to them. Two weeks later I got it back again. Takes about four sheets to blow my nose, and shreds of paper will pepper my sweater when doing that.

Oh geeze, never thought about Home Despots and missing inventory. Great idea! I had to help them hunt down furnace filters a few weeks ago. Website said they had a bunch in stock. Slot listed was empty. I found them up high a couple shelves over.

All of the local Home Depot痴 are the same. Lowe痴 is not much better.

The struggle is real! In the rare occasion my preferred paper is in stock, it usually looks like someone beat it with a hammer.
I’ve decided to get a donor package in case someone runs out, they aren’t getting the good stuff! haha

Eddie, have you done any binge watching? That is a good way to occupy yourself when you need rest. Yellowstone is worth watching for the scenery alone. Yellowstone (American TV series) - Wikipedia

And Tractor Supply...
Oh, yes, I've done curbside pickup there as well, especially handy because it's across the street from the Home Depot.

100% agree! Can't wait for the new season to start. Warning, it does have some Adult language.

A few others that I miss and wish they'd revive that you'd probably like if you haven't already seen,

I've said from the onset...if a mask is working...it's contaminated and should be treated as so...a majority of mask wearers defeat the purpose by constantly touching it or removing it to eat, drink or talk etc...

Mild symptoms and speedy recoveries to all infected...
Exactly! The way people handle and dispose of masks clearly points up why contraceptives don稚 work.

Building Alaska has been the only thing I've really stuck with. I've watched so many episodes over the years, but never in order, and rarely to the end of the builds. It's been fun seeing a season run from start to end.

We tried watching Yellowstone, but my wife has a switch in her head that as soon as something happens that she does not like, that switch flips and she is done. We got all of two minutes into Yellowstone and Kevin Costner shoots his horse. Bye, we're not watching it anymore. Maybe she will hear enough about it from some friends that she will want to give it a tray again, but for now, it's not gonna happen.

It's been a real struggle to find a series to watch that we both enjoy. We tried Cobra Kai last night and couldn't believe how bad it was. First episode was enough to give up on it.

Then we tried Opal Hunters in Australia, and we really enjoyed that. She hates just about anything to do with machinery, but she did like seeing how the opals where dug out and what it took to find them. We've watched 4 episodes and will watch more of them.

20/20 on ID is probably our favorite show right now.

That's a great idea for the Lowes and Home Depots! Not a fan of going to the store, that show in stock, only to find out, it's not there. Especially since they're about an hour away.

Just talked to my Daughter in-law. She deals with area tribes. Man they are really getting hit! One person has lost 30 of their family, another 20.

I'll take the vaccine when available. Sometimes i have to go into correction facility that has an out break for the second time. My wife is eligible, but you can't find any available around here.

Building Alaska, and Gold Rush.....BOTH fun to watch!

Oh yeah...

I know, right? If I didn't like Canadians I'd move farther South to get away from them.

Eddie, if you like to read ....Agatha Christie or Lois L'Amour.

I'm doing a lot better. I took all of last week off and was feeling pretty good by the end of the week, but my wife insisted that I stay home and not exert myself. The issues happen when you start to breath heavy, and doing just about anything made me short of breath. I started a job on Monday with a list of things to do so they can sell it. This is pretty common work for me that isn't too physical, just a lot of little things to do all day long. So far, I'm making it through the day just fine, but I am worn out by the time I get home.

Karen is doing great. She has her full sense of smell and taste back, plenty of energy and no breathing issues. Her version of Covid was significantly less then mine, yet she has Asthma, Lupus, Heart issues, and she had colon cancer less then 3 years ago. The biggest difference that we both feel is significant is that she has been on Hydroxychloroquine for her Lupus, and I do not take any medications.

Last week my dad, who is 84 and he's had cancer twice, started to have symptoms for Covid. He is very tired, dizzy, and he's having breathing issues. He did the nasal test and came back negative. They had the results in one day, while my results took 3 days. He has gotten a lot worse, so he went into the ER and they said that he has mild pneumonia and that he was dehydrated. They also did another nasal test because he seems to have Covid, but that test also came back negative. It's a mystery why he has pneumonia? Are the tests wrong?

That would be nice, but given the political/partisain rancor of the last couple decades I'm not sure how many sane people would even want to seek office. Seems rather like a person has to be a bit power-crazed to want a leadership position at a national level given cleaning out porta potties would seem to deal with less "sewage". Definitely think we've crossed the point where people are more interesting in "their side" winning than what's in the interest of the country as a whole (which isn't helped by how many people seem to think their local problems automatically need a national solution). :confused3:

edit: seems Eddie has provided what I originally came here looking for  (even if the news isn't all positive, knowing tends to be less painful than imagination)

Its probably pneumonia (still very serious). With Covid dominating all news and other illnesses, I think some of the traditional winter illnesses have all but been forgotten.

Oh I think a strong, positive leader with a message of TRUE unity, could take this country to places of grandeur.
