We had one in the garage once... my mother was trying to chase it out and pushed the snowplow over on top of it.

I've had more than one. There was a burrow under my porch(deck) and I played hades trying to get them out and gone. I've had them sitting on the posts at the corner of the deck.

We had one on our back deck about a month ago. We have a railing around the deck you should have seen it try and squeeze its way out. Kind of funny, that and the reaction of our cat.

A couple of those charts extend this far south, most of the charts don't. Their habitat shown in California is remote, rugged forest. So I would say not likely.

Yes. They have taken many of my cats. A fisher got one of the cats at the bottom of the stairs leading to the front door. They aren't afraid of anything, especially not afraid of man. Best way to get rid of them? A bullet in the head.
Their range is 50 miles of wherever they call home.

Reminds me of when my parents got a weasel in the house once. At the time they lived about 20 mikes from Springfield Illinois. I didn’t know we had them around here. The thing went nuts I wasn’t home at the time but when I visited you could see footprints from it 6 feet up the walls. They finally got it out a patio door.
