Tried out a new 7040 and a Case 75c

The Air Ride seat for the 7060 replaces just the base, the actual seat remains the same. I have one on my 7060 and I really like it.... YMMV.

I was hoping the whole seat changes. Some have said it does some say it does not from my online research. I am hoping to go find one with it so I can see it.

I am totally in love with the Case 75c. With that being said here are the drawbacks. I would be changing out tractors probably every 4 years. I do not see any used case tractors for sale. Everything is Kubota. Resale has to come into play when not keeping forever. The Kubota dealer is huge and carries lots of parts. They also do the Case tractors but mostly larger. The Case tractor says Italy on the bucket but not sure what that really means other than CNH is based there. The dealer has many Kubota tractors out for this application. They did have a 75c out there that broke a lower arm from the bouncing of the blower. Probably a hired man jumping the curb. The Kubota has a different setup with the pistons on the outside which have given no grief. Breakdowns would be crucial. The cab on the Case is leagues ahead of the Kubota. The question then becomes will the Case do the job? The Case is about 1000 pounds heavier if I recall which could be an advantage with the heavy blower and other work. It could be a disadvantage if I have to trailer it to summer work. The Kubota bucket lifts higher. I could possibly reach over the side of a 12 wheeler with gravel if I had to. I think the Case is about 1-1.5 feet less reach. Both of these tractors are at the same dealer so I have had them side by side. Put the Case cab on the Kubota and the decision would be easy. I am not looking at other brands as I make my living with it so local is key and the dealer has 5 dealerships so they are large enough to serve me. I will be offered a backup tractor. Decisions, decisions.

The CIH is a good tractor, also they offer at least two different loaders for that tractor and 3 different transmissions.
I looked at them before I went with a Branson 8050, I would have preferred the IH but almost $20,000 is what made my mind up,
we will see if I'm still around in 20 years if it was worth it.

What dealer? Whites?

Yes. They certainly are large enough to service me

Kubota Advantages:
1. Loader: 132.7" max height vs 126" max height on Case ; 101.5" dump clearance vs 90" dump clearance on Case; Equal on lift capacity (Case beats by 9lbs only)
2. Constant RPM Management Switch keeps PTO at 540
3. 24MPH top speed with 12F/12R Transmission vs. 20.1MPH in Case (24MPH capable transmission optional equipment in NH Version)

Case Advantages:
1. Cab: Optional Hi-Vis Cab Roof Window to see loader raised without ducking head down; rear wiper comes standard; buddy seat; stand alone parking brake vs. transmission brake which sucks on inclines
2. 120 amp alternator standard vs 60 amp in Kubota (u can get 100A as optional equipment in Kubota)
3. 540 PTO obtained at 1958 RPM vs. Kubota ???
4. 19.8 GPM Hydraulics (12.5/7.3 Dual Pump) in Case vs 16.2 GPM in Kubota
5. 3664 Lbs. 3-point lift capacity 24" behind pins on Case vs 3307 Lbs. @ 24" behind pins on Kubota
6. 6240 Lbs base tractor weight on Case vs 5380 Lbs base tractor weight on Kubota
7. 600 Hour Oil Change Interval on Case vs Kubota ?? (couldn't find the info)
8. Particulate Matter Catalyst on Case to achieve Tier IV emissions vs Diesel Particulate Filter on Kubota

The Case Farmall 75C and NH Powerstar 75 are both assembled by Turk Tractor in Turkey. The motor is made by Fiat Powertrain Technologies in Italy. Turk Tractor was a joint venture by Minneapolis-Moline and 5 Turkish companies in 1954. Minneapolis-Moline went under in roughly 1965ish and Fiat obtained control of 50% of MM shares in 1967. NH Tractors started getting built in 1998 (Fiat purchased Ford Tractor in 1993) and by 2002 Case was added because of the CNH merger. I checked Tractorhouse.com (u have to register and login to see the info so I can't link) for auction results and from what I'm seeing the Case 75C fares better than the Kubota M7060 for prices paid. I was worried about the same issue before purchasing - if you can get the tractor for say $45400 (u saw from my current pricing thread it was loaded for this price - I paid extra $1800 for filled tires and 3rd SCV installed on top of that price) or within a couple thousand (next closest NH competitor's price in my case) then you are A-ok. If you buy from a dealer in Iowa or North Dakota where they like to charge the list price of $63000 then you will be "under water" on value for a while. I believe the Kubota is more expensive than the Case as well.

HTH.

Full Disclosure: I like Kubota but since I bought the Case I am obviously biased in that direction. :D

Rngrr......

Your specification analysis is quite thorough, however there is an error in hydraulic output capacity. The problem is the manner kubota prints their specifications. The 16.2 GPM for the kubota, is actually output at the remotes. They do NOT list the additional steering pump volume delivery. This only applies to the 12 x 12 tranny models. Advantage kubota-this category.

Again, your assistance w/ tractor specifications has been an outstanding resource. I am waiting for a tractor data e mail. Do you know where the 2018 mahindra 6065 is built? This replaces the M Force series? Has a mahindra engine but that doesn't always tell the entire story.
