BX OEM QA/Forks vs. Tach n Go and Jery's Forks???

My first set were all Kubota Orange. I like to keep them in good shape, and maintain the paint with a quick shot a few times a season to prevent rust. I told Jery that painting at least the forks black, would make it much easier matching the paint with about any brand paint. Wouldn't you know it, when I met Jery to snag the setup for my BX, they were black. Soooo much easier to maintain. That was the ONLY thing I could say was an improvement on Jery's forks, LOL. It's so nice to use them and take em off with ease because of the weight. I've been considering Jery's Three-Point Pal, which can hold a rear blade and use the forks on the back. I don't need the blade, but to use the forks on the rear three-point for heavy pallets, or a refuse box when doing yard work, would be great. Best thing is, the Pal holds the forks inverted on the rack for quick access to put them on if needed... they are always with you. Jery can't make a 2" receiver integrated because of his rear blade, but if I get the Pal this summer without the blade, I'll weld in a 2" so I always have it ready like I prefer to use it. The quality of metal work, welding, and paint is better than OEM. You'll see.

Do you pictures of this 3py Pal from Jery? Not sure if it has been put on his site. Thanks, Jon

I am a little nervous as this was not the cheapest solution and when I look at the pictures of the forks, they look to be open C channel vs. boxed. Wondering whether I will want to stiffen the fork tongs a bit on the underside. Pics might not be doing them justice however. Hope to see them in a week.

I was concerned, but Jery told me the steel was some special high strength grade he quoted by a number, if I recall correctly. If you are putting them on a BX, I doubt you can exert enough to damage them, unless digging. They are open bottom, but once you see the way they are constructed, you'll think differently. It's like seeing the strength of a 2x. Flat, it'll snap under any weight. On edge, like a floor joist, is where the strength comes in. I'm sure I could bend and twist mine if I deliberately abused them, but common sense keeps mine in perfect condition, and I DO, use them.

I don't have a picture, but I think he has a video or two on YouTube.

Just for those reading this thread, later, another good fork option for the BX is the Construction Attachments fork set with cage: Construction Attachments 42" Kubota BX series Pin-On pallet forks for LA203 and LA243 Loaders

I have a set of these and they are great! The only bad thing is they are very heavy, 220 lbs. It really cuts down on lift capacity, but if you only need to lift 500 lbs, or less, they are well built and will outlast the rest of the tractor.

No QA, here, I pull pins.

Congrats, OP, I've read nothing bu good about Jery's.

It is indeed the torsion on an open section that has me a little concerned. But that said, the weight is a big attraction and as probably already mentioned, no need to have forks that are over designed for its particular installation. Gonna be a long week.

Kind of difficult to figure out what he offers from that website.

I sent Jery an e-mail. The quick-attach & forks look interesting. I have the BXpanded clip-on forks, but I'm not super happy with them and I'd like something for the 3pt hitch.

Funny your timing is impeccable. I just realized Jery forgot to send the tracking number and I emailed him about an hour ago. They were supposed to ship early in the week and Jery promised me a tracking number. I was out of town on biz until this afternoon and forgot about it thankfully. Hope I hear back tonight. Now I'm antsy and hoping they arrive by the weekend. Freight from Wisconsin to Washington???

Just thought I would chime in again with an update... Jery promptly called me back this evening after receiving my email (after-hours!) and assured me it's on its way as promised! We had a great discussion on design and testing and his rationale behind it all... obviously a well thought out design. Should arrive by Tuesday. :cool2:

Will post pics and grins ASAP. Been desiring a QA and forks for as long as I have owned my BX.

Dragoneggs, here's a pacifier while you wait. IMG_5460.JPG

What I like is the setup us light enough, I am going to make a rack on the wall to hold them when not in use.
