I have never seen "the great outdoors" . don't know how I missed that one. Loved the clip.
Ever try one of these? Very satisfying SNAP when you connect, and if it doesn't kill the wasp/hornet/bee outright, it'll stun 'em good enough you can step on 'em or squish 'em with the rim of the racket.
I use an old badminton racket. I was really striking out a couple nights ago. LolRipTides - I do EXACTLY the same - LOL... I have so many wasps and carpenter bees around my deck... I hate the carpenter bees challenging me on my own deck...
Be well,
David
Topps, I've been in Terry's shop (IIRC the name) in Houston. My buddies all had jet boats. I was smart enough to "let them have all the fun" while I just rode around or water skied....
Reminds me of a great old movie, The Great Outdoors with John Candy and his jetboat "Suck my Wake"

Currently there is only one last jetboat in my freinds inventory. A supercharged 460 Ford Eliminator from Riverside Ca. It will go an honest 80mph on GPS with 93 octane pump gas. It is in need of some berkeley pump work right now.
One time, while my buddy was doing some tuning on another jet boat engine, we were trolling along and just for grins I through out a lure and trolled while he fiddled with the timing and such. Hooked a 5 lb bass and reeled it in. We forever called that engine the "Deep Cycle Troll Motor".
While enjoying barley pops one evening, we tossed around an idea to make a TV show and decided to call it "This Old Jet Boat"....
Time to head to work. The Altima is working fine so far, so good.
Lenny, you and your wifey have a beautiful home.
Dabs, thanks for you and your son's service.
Hawkeye, you won't regret going to PEX, if the installation doesn't make you talk like a sailor too much.
Looking4new, I don't know how I would handle all the freeze/thaw cycles youz guyz endure.
Moss, you got it. Thank the Lord one day at a time, everyday.
God Bless all of you.
Don, I might look up that recipe.
Honestly, if they had one channel devoted to Baroque-era music and one devoted to progressive rock, I could probably live with just two channels.

My 454 was actually a 468 after the machine shop got done, it would consistently show 525-528 h.p. With a the N20 using medium jets it would dyno at 640-645, depending on temps in the dyno room but it was too rich out of the cool water. We didn't have GPS on boats back then, but the DNR radar had it at 78 mph in the 6 mph limit at the Whitehaven Ferry. That motor in a good prop boat hull would have run 10 mph faster, jets were a blast but not the most efficient.
That is a great movie!
