Any body see any bulk deals on ammo? I think the distributers were expecting a big run and prices to shoot up and now .... well, I bet there will be some nice Black Friday sales

Today I finished tweaking one of this seasons deer loads ...

... was able to get them going avg of 2309 fps and zeroed the Blackout just a hair over 2" high at 100yds. According to the ballistics calculator ... I can hold dead on and be about +/- 2" out to 200yds. At 200yds, the energy drops to 903 ft. lbs. but I doubt I ever shoot that far so I'll be over 1,000 ft. lbs. for all closer shots which should do fine for whitetail deer. Better than my lever action 30-30's!

Cabelas is changing over to BassPro Shops so now I'm getting more of their ads in the mail. They have some good deals on Black Friday, limited quantities though.

SF airport can be a very busy place... I always try to meet first time visitors and walk them through the car rental and then to the East Bay... still get an occasional visitor from my time in Austria...

Often the visitors will ask to see the "Bad" parts of town... and to a last one they are disappointed... bad often fails to meet expectation.

I'm guessing the Cabella outside Reno will be a busy place.

Yea, the car rental place there is pretty amazing. I can see it easily overwheming someone that doesn't travel much. The volume and turn over is simply staggering. I always book everything way in advance electronically and the pickup/turn in process is crazy efficient. You spend more time walking to/from the vehicle than anything else ... and riding that monorail.
