I'll believe things are back to normal when I see .22 SHORTS on the shelves in stores.

Around here .22 shorts and magnums are plentiful. Staying on Walmart shelves. But no .22lr.

Plenty of .22 around here, shorts, shotshells, LR, etc.
They have limits on what you can buy though.

I try to never go to Walmart but when I do there is never any .22 of any kind. The local Home Center does have it though. I bought a few boxes earlier this year, we don't even have a .22 to shoot it with.

Yeah that is the thing. These shortages seem to be regional. There has not been a single .22LR round in our Wal Mart store for almost 4 years now. Plenty of rifles and other calibers available. When you ask a sales clerk about it, you either get a grunt or chuckle or something about "you have to be here early".

Well let me tell you I have come in plenty early, and I haven't see so much as a single round of .22LR ammo of any brand at any price. I am pretty sure the manager sets it out for his buddies for them to retail in the community at scalping prices and that is that.

I stayed up until about 3am flipping between the channels. Poor Wolf Blitzer and Stepin-off-a-lot-less were practically crying while shuffling papers around looking for reporting errors. I guess they believed their own lopsided sampling polls would work to drive the real voters. Also by 3am the ClintonNewsNetwork, NoBodyCares and AmericanBroadcastingCorruption channels were already loading up for attacks on Trump's plans to bring the nation together. They kept thinking of ways to tear the nation apart. Looks like they're doing their protest work in a few major cities already.

Stepin-off-a-lot-less is supposed to be moving to Australia now that Trump won. I can't wait to hear Spouting-off-a-lot-less.

On the national level yes. BUT how about at the state level. California just passed 10 round magazine restriction and background check for all ammo purchases. How all that is going to work I don't know, and neither does anyone else.

That should wind up before the supreme court in short order. In fact I imagine since the election and Trump gets the court and justice department squared away, California can look forward to spending a lot more time there answering for a lot more of their idiotic nonsense.

Or you could move up to Washington where you can loose your guns if are accused of being harmful to yourself or others (not convicted of any crime, just accused of a potential problem)....
