I'm getting an Oliver 550 and don't want the bucket loader and wish to sell it. Practically speaking, knowing that it takes special adapter assemblies to allow mounting of the generic loader to the tractor, is the thought of selling the loader a pipe dream or do people actually buy these loaders and adapt them themselves? I just don't need a loader, have a Bobcat loader instead.

Check with Wengers of Myerstown PA to see if they would buy it.

A second loader is always a back up plan when the bob cat is broken though.

If the loader works on the Oliver and you can store it you might consider keeping it. If you later decide to sell the tractor later they always bring alot more with a loader.

I seem to be one of the few members here who doesn't want a fel on my main tractor, I like having the front end clear and keeping the tractor short for easy manuevering.

Not sure what the value of the loader is, or if a 550 owner might want it, but I might give somebody the loader if they haul the tractor home for me, 160 mile round trip.

You may want to throw up a private party ad. There are enough members on here in all parts of the country that you may find someone that both needs a loader and can haul your tractor. Also try craigslist with the same deal. It could be a pretty good deal to someone in the right situation.
