ZETOR ZEBRA 2522
Model Year: 1994
Bought this tractor used, seems to be in good condition for its age, tire tread is still 80%, smokes a little on start up, but easily starts, and runs extremely smooth. The frame is extremely strong with a wide front end. The only faults that I can see in the design is the shifter, which is side to side and awkward to use. The only other problem being that it was manufactured in India, is trying to find a Dealer near bye. Even though it is a Zetor brand name, it was manufactured by HMT-in India and assembled in the Czechoslovakia / now Croatia, the Zetor name is misleading, since they only introduced it since they were in need of a compact tractor line back in the 90's to compete with other companies.
Pros: Crude but well assembled, easy access to the engine, easy on fuel consumption
Cons: You can't just run to the store to get a part, everything is vie e-mail, if you can find it. Some Zetor dealers may carry some of the parts but not all.
