Kubota MX5640SUD
Model Year: 0
This is the 4WD 56 hp Kubota, very basic, standard shift with not many frills. I got a loader with it, which came with a second remote, at the rear, which I intend on using to angle a snowplow this winter. Got a Farmi winch and hand made a canopy out of steel that is connected to, and as strong as, the rollover bar. I have a small rough cut sawmill and use this to log, move logs and lumber, and load lumber and sawdust into trucks---VERY powerful and will lift supposedly around 2300 lbs, though I shouldn't need to ever lift that much. I used to use a 28+/- hp Ford model 1920 so I can't really compare it with anything of equal size. I needed a tractor with this HP or more to possibly run the Lane tractor mill, and needed as large a front tire as possible for working in the snow. Also had to have the beveled front steering because of tight steering needs in a small sawmill yard. Cheaper than most other colors, but I am sure there are reasons. I believe Massey's and Deere are heavier-possibly more rugged components, and New Holland M.F. Deere and Case probably lift a little more, but they weren't worth the extra 5 grand price tag. 0% financing for 5 years too!
Pros: Seems very durable, lifts a lot, foot pedals and shifters very convenient.
Cons: No cab offered, lighter than more expensive models.
