Ok. So, my last post had too many moving parts! I'll split it up.
Has anyone had experience with an F series grass catcher?

Apparently not.

I can’t even find anyone in North Georgia running a F series 72 inch mower 😩

For me to try one out

Actually, I have seen one, and ran it briefly. It is my brother in law's F mower (I can't remember the model number). It is a smaller diesel engined mower, with 60" side discharge deck. The deck has an additional gearbox on it that runs the blower fan. I can't remember if it has hydraulic dump on it or not. He told me that the blower is a pretty big drag on the engine, but feels it is worth it for the area he likes keeping clean.

He loves that thing. He likes it so much, when he saw another one for sale, he bought it. Now he has two identical, operational Kubota F mowers. The mower without the grass catcher mows much faster without the drag of the catcher blower.

Their wheelbase is quite a bit shorter than my F3060. They look like they would be much more maneuverable.

Maneuverability is what I’m scared of on this new F3710 I’ve got coming.

I mow a long swipe, turning around & mowing back as I don’t mow in circles

The super long tail swing will take some getting use to I’m sure.

My prior mower was an Encore, 52" zero turn. The tail swing is definitely a learning curve. Inside corners are the tough ones to get used to, especially. I miss the maneuverability, but do not miss the neck snapping ride of the ztr.

Oh so the F series definitely rides better than Zero ?

Is your ground considered rough where you are making this observation ?

Dog,

I developed our yard over 30 years ago. Pot holes have appeared over the years. Many pot holes. I used to keep up with them, but have gotten considerably behind.

In my opinion, due to the much larger diameter tires, front and rear, and the longer wheelbase, my F3060 is much easier on my body than my old ztr.

I prefer the cut quality of the old ztr over the F mower, but not enough to go back to ztr.

My ZD1511 26” rear fluid filled tires are 2” taller than the F3710 drive tires so I doubt it’ll ride any better.

maybe the longer wheelbase will help tho.

I’m thinking the F will need all 4 fluid filled to fit my application.
