    Mulching straight lines

I'm looking for some ideas for an upcoming job mulching straight lines for a forestry project. Topography is not an issue as it is very flat, but line of sight is, due to navigating around larger trees and other obstacles that won't be mulched. Working in fairly dense forest. Can't seem to...

Trouble getting mulcher head to zero on Rayco c140

My rayco c140 wants to spin the head slowly all the time. The external adjustments have been done and still having trouble. My dealer suggested getting it to a hydraulic specialist and that it's something internal. It's difficult to start with power being sent to the head while cranking...

    Rayco C140 issue

my rayco currently won't start and it continually displays the 'seatbelt' light on the panel. i've tried bypassing each of the three safety switches (lap bar, seat pressure switch, and seatbelt). i've disconnected my main wiring harness connectors and inspected for any possible bad...

Ss Eco vs drum style mulcher

I took one out for a demo last week. They are awesome to watch suck in a tree and spit it out in an instant, but if you get a small group of them at once or some stringy hardwood it will clog if you're not careful. Keeping the disc speed up is crucial. I guess really it comes down to the...

    John Deere running mulcher

Anybody out there have any experience with the Deere (specifically a 333E) running a mulcher? Looking at picking up a backup machine. It looks to be a solid dirt machine if not needed for mulching, so it may be easier to justify with that respect.

    2013 Terex PT110 Forestry

Took delivery of the new machine today and had a chance to put it in the woods for a few hours. So far a night and day difference (and improvement) over the old PT100. 45 GPM and a hyd. driven cooling fan really makes a difference. Waiting to see if any of the demons from the older PT's will...

"no burning, no hauling.....just mulch" ---- I MEANT NO BURN-PILES!!

it was my last 30 minutes of running on a 4 acre job.....caused by debris in the engine compartment (which we clean out CONSTANTLY), coupled with a windy dry spell, ignited by the exhaust pipe, with the reversing fan fueling the flames! the "stock" fire extinguisher was no match, although it...

Adding a case drain to excavator

I need to add a case drain to a Kubota KX080 excavator to run a mulching head. Rather than pay the local dealer too much money, I'm giving it a go myself. The reservoir tank is steel so I'm assuming I'll have to cut a hole and weld a fitting. Anyone with any experience in doing this?

    Experience with Fecon carriers?

Looking at a Fecon FTX130FM to supplement my PT-100 Forestry mulcher. Anybody out there run one of these? Hydraulic specs look as though it should have a good deal more cutting power, but I'm not convinced a 130 horse motor will do it that much better than the PT.
