Mine needs some serious lighting! It is cool with the tint, but running by sonar at night is uncool!

I think we all have cool tractors, afterall what tractor isn't (cool) ?

Anyways, assuming this contest is open to all us international "guests" on TBN, here's my entry:-

Well what makes this one of the "coolest" tractors - firstly the name, it's a Phoenix (& true to it's name, the design has risen from the ashes on many occassions despite the odds), its rarity as there were only a few handfuls built, its pure "heart" (this one's a V10, with V12's & 8's also available) & "guts" with most still going strong at 20,000+hrs, & indeed the story behind this unique tractor brand/design:-

Originally built/sold by Phillips in Merredin Western Australia as an Acremaster from 1975-1985, then sold by International Harvester from 1984-85 (reportedly a few were exported to USA/Canada), then manufactured/sold by Horwood Bagshaw from 1985-c.1987 ......Subsequent to 1984 when Laurie Phillips (the original owner/designer/engineer) sold Phlllips Tractors to another party,he went on to resurrect the "Acremaster" design again c. 1985 which was sold in parallel to the other branded "Acremasters" as a Phoenix until c.1988/89.......the product of an engineers dream, determination & courage to take on the big "boys"in the face of adversity.....truely interesting times, I don't see how anything like this could happen again today......the Phoenix tractors proved to be ultimately the the last tractors designed & built in Australia.......

As for extra LED lights, yes like I expect everyone I could sure use them, however if my entry is successful I'd much rather donate them to the local volunteer Fire Brigade to enhance the capabilities of their trucks in night operations......

Hey guys

BD lights is new to the tractorbynet forum but wanted to start off with a sweet photo contest. BD is new to the tractor industry but no stranger to auxiliary lighting, we have been manufacturing American Made lighting for over 20 years.

If you have a sweet looking tractor that could use some lights submit your picture on this thread and/or feel free to email me some pics and info.

The tractor doesn't have to be a certain size, brand etc. Creative pictures are a plus.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask

Thanks
Mike

Not cool. Not a tractor. But it does need BD LED Lights!
